Speech-Language Pathologist

Healthy Brains Program Director

Kristen Sigward has been a Speech-Language Pathologist for 30 years.  She has worked with a variety of populations, including individuals with severe mental and physical disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Articulation Disorders, and adults with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI).  She developed the Healthy Brains Program in 2015 for those diagnosed with MCI and those interested in slowing down the cognitive decline associated with aging.  Like a fitness trainer at the gym, Kristen trains individuals to develop healthy brain habits to optimize brain functioning and build the brain’s resistance to decline.  In addition, Kristen also assists Dr. Sigward with the administration of Neuropsychological tests.  She has spoken to numerous groups in Cincinnati about brain healthy living, including Parkinson’s support groups, senior organizations, and the Alzheimer’s Association.  She graduated from Miami University in 1990, with a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
